she had been preparing for this interview for over a year and finally the day had come.
The train journey of about 4 hours did not help the situation on ground.
"Mommah, are we there yet?" she looked at the tired pale woman with beautiful hair across her"
"Christie, not yet sweety, just try and relax" replied the woman.
As Christie drifted off to sleep, she thought of her interview at the worlds' best opera house in Sydney. All her hard work for over a year would finally pay off she hoped. Her palms got sweaty and she jerked up in shock as the train came to her screeching sound. FINALLY, they had arrived.
Looking back as the train proceeded to its next destination, she thought of how short the journey was but how long it seemed.
"How weird, what a journey!" she said, as she linked hands with her mother who only shook her head and smiled.
